Hazel Leona Carlton
Hazel Leona Carlton, age 91, of Heber Springs passed away Sunday,
April 25, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Born May 20,
1918, in Woodrow, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Lillie
May Hipp Stevens and Lafayett Stevens. Mrs. Carlton was a homemaker and an active member of Heber Springs Baptist Church.
She enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening as hobbies.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Willis of Atlanta, Georgia and
Sue Ann Knapp and husband Mitchiel of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two brothers, Warren and Johnny Stevens both of Prim, Arkansas; four sisters, Ruby Dollar and Bess Knapp both of Prim, Arkansas, Mildred Carlton of Kansas City, Kansas and Shelby Jean Chandler of Heber Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and many, many friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Carlton and a sister, Frieda Smith.

A Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2010,
at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, April 29, 2010, at the funeral home with Brother Dennis
Knapp officiating. Interment will follow the service in Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
