FRANK JOSEPH SLAVIK suddenly passed away at Baptist Hospital, Little Rock, AR. on Monday March 1st, 2011, just three weeks short of his 62nd birthday. Frank was born in Oakville, Ontario on March 21, 1949 to Walter and Josie Slavik. Both parents pre-deceased him. Frank married Willene Goza in May of 1978. To this union, twin boys were born, Matthew and Mark on September 17, 1984. Frank and his young family moved to Arkansas and have resided here ever since. Frank leaves to mourn his wife, Willene of 32 years of marriage; his two sons Matt and Mark, his sister Mary and husband Tony Nemetchek of Minitonas, Manitoba, Canada and their children Lenny, Sandi, and Debby. Frank was educated mostly in Ontario and finished his high school in Minitonas, Manitoba, Canada. He moved back to Ontario, Canada and worked for Good Year Tire for a number of years. His most recent employment was with Bryce Corporation. He was to retire from this company in three weeks time. He looked forward to this greatly. He loved the outdoors and tried in vain to grow flowers around his home. He was an adventurous individual, which lead him to canoeing in the Yukon Territory, flying planes and riding motorcycles across Canada and the U.S. He was a dedicated husband and father. He spent countless hours cheering his sons in their sports events, building, fixing, and puttering. He was GREATLY loved and will be GREATLY missed. We love you, Dad. Pallbearers include Matt Slavik, Mark Slavik, Jerry Yahoda, Len Nemetchek, Tony Ramey, Jake Goza, John Paul Goza and Zephyr Goza. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:30 pm, Friday, March 4, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Heber Springs, Arkansas with Rev. Tommy Toombs and Rev. Mike Felder officiating.
