Dr. John Dawson Landis, age 81, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas passed away September 25, 2009. Born August 2, 1928 in Lufkin, Texas, he was the son of the late Jane McMullen and Donald H. Landis. Dr. Landis worked as Director of Lincoln Developmental Center for many years.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors and loved fishing.
He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Jene Lee Landis of Fairfield Bay; four sons, Donald Landis of Vancouver, Washington, Clark Landis of Madison, Wisconsin, Joseph Landis of Phoenix, Arizona and Peter Landis of Des Moines, Iowa; one daughter, Leah Landis of Little Rock, Arkansas and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
