Dannamar Lee (Danny) Russell, age 42, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away August 7, 2009 in Little Rock. Born December 31, 1966, in Pensacola, Florida he was the son of Susan Pelfrey Russell and William C. Russell. After operating two successful restaurants in Crawfordville, Florida, he moved to Heber Springs to be closer to his life partner, Anita Pyle and their children and grandchildren. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a truck driver for McSheer Trucking in Rose Bud, Arkansas. Danny had a personal relationship with God and was of the Methodist faith.
Danny enjoyed the outdoors in general and especially loved hunting and fishing. His laughter and zest for life were contagious to all he met. It was often said that Danny never met a stranger, but rather a new friend in each person he encountered.
He is survived by his parents, Susan Pelfrey Russell of Beck Row, England, William C. Russell and step-mother Faye Russell of Ochlockonee Bay, Florida; three daughters, Danie’ Russell and husband Travis of Tallahassee, Florida, Chellsey Pyle of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Bethany Vega and husband Anthony of Tallahassee, Florida; one son, Jed Pyle and wife Amy of Ida, Arkansas; one brother, Chris Russell and wife Valerie of Crawfordville, Florida; five special grandchildren, Makayla, Alex, Luke, Allison, and Jaren, his faithful life partner, Anita Sue Pyle of Heber Springs, Arkansas.; as well as host of family and friends throughout the nation.
A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Heber Springs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Derek Westmoreland officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
