Billy Jack (Bill) Ashmore, age 68, of Heber Springs passed away July
27, 2011 at Baptist Health Care in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a
manager of a cable television service in Pittsburg, Kansas and also
worked at the water department at Eufaula, Oklahoma. Bill was a member
of the Masonic Lodge, Shriner and of the Baptist faith.
His hobbies included hunting and fishing and most importantly loved
spending time with his family.
Mr. Ashmore was preceded in death by his father, William Ashmore.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Greer Ashmore, whom he married on
June 22, 1963; two sons, Jimmy Ashmore of New York City, NY and Jeff
Ashmore and wife Dusty of Heber Springs, AR; one daughter, Jana Miller
and husband Otto of Heber Springs, AR; mother, Mary Emerton Ashmore of
McAlester, Ok; one brother, Bob Thrasher of McAlester, OK; three
sisters, Pam Wilson and husband Monroe of Benton, AR, Betty Moore and
husband Jim of Fayetteville, AR and Paula Bussey and husband Jeral of
McAlester, OK; grandchildren, Amber and Kasidy Giacomo, Kyndon Tarter,
Ali Ashmore, Hayden Miller, Gunner Ashmore, Daylin Ashmore, Jamie
Miller and Carlos Romero; four great-grandchildren, Halea and Jacob
Locke, Caylee and Caven Hill.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, at 2:00 pm, at Heber
Springs Cemetery in Heber Springs with Brother Joe Lowery officiating.
