Benjamin Lorenza Pruitt, age 72, passed away October 25, 2011 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born April 16, 1939 in Jackson, Tennessee to J.O and Claudia Pruitt. He spent most of his life as a barber, working also in real estate, owner of JJ’s Country Store, and a charter member of the Heber Springs Jitterboppers. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents J.O. and Claudia Pruitt, and one brother Jimmy Pruitt.
He is survived by his life partner, Darlo Joyce Shaw of Heber Springs, Arkansas, three daughters Jenny Henley Vaughn of Heber Springs, AR, Pamela Pruitt of Philadelphia, and Shanna Jennings of Collierville, TN, two step-sons, Kevin Shaw of Bartlett, TN, Judd Shaw of Jonesborough, Tennessee, one brother Bill Pruitt of Nesbit, Mississippi, one sister Geraldine Wilson of Bartlett, Tennessee, seven grandchildren, Brandon George, Shelby Henley, Cassey George, Aubrey Jennings, Savannah Shaw, Cayleigh Shaw and Connor Shaw, also five great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Heber Springs Funeral Home in Heber Springs, AR. A Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon also on Thursday prior to the Funeral.
