August Hofmeister, age 91, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Heber Springs, Arkansas. He was born August 19, 1919 in Breslau, Germany to Karl and Martha Hofmeister. He spent twenty-four years as a scale technician for Toledo Scale. August was a very devoted family man.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Margot Hofmeister of Heber Springs, Arkansas; three sons, Harold Hofmeister and wife Patricia of Heber Springs, Arkanas, Willy Hofmeister and wife Connie of Divide, Colorado, Michael Hofmeister and wife Valerie of Walnut, California; two daughters, Sibylle Avis and husband Charles of Austin, Texas.
